Meet Your Therapist
Hello, my name is Ade, and I am a qualified Humanistic Psychotherapist, my practice is driven by communication and guided conversations that help you untangle and understand yourself, emotions and your current situation. I also weave in nervous system mindfulness and creative expression where appropriate.
As a strong believer in self-actualisation, my practice is rooted in soul, connection and the belief that you already hold within you the capacity to grow, heal and become more fully yourself. I offer an empathetic ear and a guiding presence, creating space for you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom, capabilities and power. Therapy to me is a collaborative process where, together, we find the right approach for you to talk about the difficult things, while prioritising your needs and therapeutic goals.
I don't believe in diagnosing your problem or trying to tell you ‘what’s wrong with you’. Instead, I believe it is my role to try to enter your frame of reference, understand and share in your unique life experience, and walk alongside you.
I understand that this requires a high level of trust, which is earned and not assumed on the first meeting. Therefore, I look to build genuine connections and provide a welcoming environment for all clients. This isn’t always the case for many people, especially those from the global majority. But my sessions are a space for anyone to share their thoughts, free of judgment. My goal is to be authentically myself, and hope to be able to provide a space where you feel comfortable doing the same.
I understand that talking can be hard. But I have personally experienced the positive power of talking therapy, and I am excited about the prospect of sharing it with you. My goal is to help those who seek it when they are ready.
If you feel that what I can offer aligns with the type of therapy you are looking for, please get in touch.
